Healthify was founded to do one specific thing well: help American adults — especially those over 40 — navigate the supplement industry with a level of clarity that the marketing noise rarely allows. We read the labels, we track the research, and we publish what we find, including when the answer is “we don’t know yet.”
Our Mission
The U.S. dietary supplement industry is worth more than $55 billion a year. It is also, by design, largely unregulated at the level of product claims — a manufacturer can put almost any wording on a label as long as it isn’t a direct drug claim. That gap is where Healthify operates.
Our mission is simple: reduce the information asymmetry between supplement companies and the people deciding whether to spend hundreds of dollars a year on products their bodies will never fully know what to do with.
We focus on the categories most relevant to adults 40 and older — prostate health, joint support, sleep, cognition, cardiovascular, metabolic, and hormone-supporting ingredients — because that is where the marketing spend is densest and where the buyer’s own body is changing fastest.
How We Vet Products
Every review on Healthify runs through the same editorial workflow. There is no “fast track” for products that pay us an affiliate fee, and no “penalty track” for ones that don’t. The rubric is the rubric.
1. Ingredient transparency
Does the label disclose what’s in the bottle, or does it hide behind “proprietary blends”? We flag anything that won’t tell you what you’re taking.
2. Dose vs. studied dose
For each active ingredient, we compare the label dose to the dose used in published clinical research. If the label dose is 10x lower than the studied dose, we say so. If it’s higher and there’s no research to support it, we say so too.
3. Evidence quality
We distinguish a placebo-controlled randomized trial (the strongest evidence type) from an in-vitro cell study (the weakest). The label on your bottle rarely tells you which one the marketing is built on.
4. Safety profile
Interactions with common medications (blood thinners, blood-pressure meds, hormones), contraindications, and side-effect documentation. For men over 50 on multiple prescriptions, this section is often more important than the marketing section.
5. Business practices
Refund policy, subscription terms, customer-service responsiveness, and — where public — complaint volumes. If a company makes it easy to buy and hard to cancel, that goes in the review.
6. Disclosure
If Healthify earns an affiliate commission on this product, that disclosure is at the top of the page. Every affiliate relationship on the site is disclosed inline, in the review itself, not hidden in a footer.
Review Methodology
Each review is scored on a 0–10 scale across six weighted categories:
- Ingredient transparency (20%) — full disclosure of active ingredients and doses
- Evidence base (25%) — strength and relevance of human clinical research
- Dose adequacy (15%) — how close the label dose is to the studied dose
- Safety and interactions (15%) — profile against common medications and contraindications
- Quality control (10%) — third-party testing, GMP certification, cGMP facility
- Business practices (15%) — refund policy, cancellation friction, customer service
The final score is not “recommended” or “not recommended” — it’s a number with reasons attached. The reasons are what you should weigh against your own situation.
Our Team
Healthify is staffed as a collective editorial team, not built around a single expert brand. The reason is intentional: YMYL content about supplements is exactly the kind of material where a reader should not have to evaluate one person’s credentials in order to weigh the argument. Instead, we publish as a team and let the work speak.
Who does the work
- Healthify Editorial Team — drafts and edits every review, fact-checks ingredient claims against primary literature, and maintains the site’s disclosure records.
- Research staff — pulls ingredient-level evidence, verifies dose ranges, and maintains our internal ingredient database.
- Editorial standards reviewer — reviews each published post for policy compliance (medical disclaimer, affiliate disclosure, evidence-tier labeling) before it goes live.
Medical advisory
Healthify consults licensed clinicians on general policy questions (what to say about drug interactions, how to frame supplement safety language, when to escalate to “consult your physician”). We do not publish under individual clinician bylines; the review is the team’s position, and the team owns it.
Editorial Standards & Disclosure Policy
The editorial standards below are the non-negotiables. Any reviewer who breaks them is removed from publishing privileges.
- Affiliate compensation does not change a score. If we receive an affiliate commission from a product, the score we give it is the same score we would give it with no commission.
- Every affiliate relationship is disclosed inline. On the review page, above the CTA, in plain language.
- Corrections are public and dated. When we get something wrong, we publish the correction with the date and the original text struck through. We do not quietly edit.
- No press-release rewriting. Press releases from supplement companies are treated as marketing material, not as source material.
- Medical advice stays out. We explain evidence; we do not tell a reader what to take for their condition. Every review ends with “consult your physician.”
Why Trust Us
Trust on a YMYL site is not a vibe — it’s a chain of small, checkable things. Here is the chain we’re offering you:
- Every review has a public disclosure line. If Healthify makes money on a product, that’s on the page. It’s not hidden.
- Our scoring rubric is public. The six categories and their weights are on this page. If you disagree with a score, you can see exactly which category is driving it.
- We publish corrections. We maintain a public record of errors we’ve made and how we fixed them. A site that never gets anything wrong has probably published too little.
- Our team is named as a team. We don’t fabricate expert credentials. The reviewers are Healthify’s editorial staff, and they’re accountable to you as a collective.
- Our contact channel works. If you disagree with a review, email contact@healthify.sbs. A human replies within two business days.

Editor’s note
Healthify is editorially independent. We are funded by affiliate commissions from verified supplement retailers, and by the small number of premium services we may publish over time. Advertisers cannot pay for placement, cannot edit review copy, and cannot change a score. If you have ever suspected a review was paid for because of how it was phrased, tell us — we take that seriously.
